What is ROSIER score?

ROSIER Score

ROSIER stands for Recognition of Stroke in the Emergency Room. It's a useful tool for medical professionals in the ER. The Royal College of Physicians recommends it.

§  Loss of consciousness, or syncope

§  Seizure activity

New, acute onset of

 

·        Asymmetric facial weakness

·        Asymmetric arm weakness

·        Asymmetric leg weakness

·        Speech disturbance

+1

·        Visual field defect

+1

Stroke is likely if the score is > 0

Special note: Exclude hypoglycemia first, then assess the above criteria
