  • Autoimmune adrenalitis

  • HIV/AIDS
  • Bilateral adrenalectomy
  • Adrenal haemorrhage or infarction following meningococcal septicemia (Waterhouse-Friedrichson syndrome)
  • Infiltration disorders:
      • Carcinomatous infiltration of adrenal glands (bronchial carcinoma)
      • Haemochromatosis
      • Amyloidosis
      • Granulomatous disorders
  • Lymphoma
  • Metyrapone therapy
  • Schilder's disease (adrenal leukodystrophy)
  • Wolman's disease (hepatosplenomegaly and steatorrhoea)
